Mungatta Murray Grey Stud is a leading premium supplier of top quality Murray Grey beef cattle sires in Australia.
Located in the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu in Western Australia’s wheatbelt, we have 48 years of experience in breeding exceptional bulls.
We focus on providing sires that will result in efficient beef production for your farm, and our rigorous selection of only the best sires with the top characteristics allows you to choose with total peace of mind.
Our females are selected for their femininity and their ability to rear calves under dry wheat belt conditions.
We assess breed plan figures, fertility and overall performance and are constantly improving our herd genetics and characteristics. We always offer bulls that exhibit strong and promising characteristics, both as stud sires and commercial bulls. We also offer bull semen for sale for artificial insemination, from our most successful and reliable bulls.

Annual Sale at Gingin 2019
Our annual sale of prime stud bulls was held at the
31st annual Midlands Cattle Breeders’ Association Gingin Bull Sale on Thursday 28 February, with the outstanding result of top-priced bull for the sale. Mungatta Renaldo N28 sold for $11,500 to Shane Edwards of Stockhill Grazing, Quairading. Our congratulations go to Shane and to our other clients and thanks for their ongoing support. It’s calving time!
Autumn is a wonderful time on the farm, with the new calves arriving thick and fast. Here are a few photos of the early ones, just to show you how good they look. You too could have great looking calves in your herd with some of our excellent sale bulls. Contact us for more details and pricing.
Planning for the future
Calving for 2017 is just about over and it’s time to start planning for next year’s calves. Our AI (Artificial Insemination) programme started this week with choosing our cows and giving them the necessary injections and preparations for fertilization. Mungatta uses a combination of AI and natural methods to get the best calves we can. It also helps to diversify our gene pool
and bring into the herd the positive traits we need.
